Competition Tilda Together is back with charity Mary’s Meals and holds the chance for one school to win £500 and a Tilda Together Day.

Now in its fourth year, Tilda Together focuses on the role nutrition can play in healthy bodies and healthy minds and will see Tilda Foodservice partner with school-feeding charity, Mary’s Meals.

School meals provider and social enterprise, Local Food Links (LFL) has won the Federation of Small Businesses Scale Up Business of the Year award in the South West and will now go on to compete in the national finals in May.

It said that the ‘entire firm is feeling very proud’.

LFL has opened a new hub kitchen in Weymouth and has been supplying 15 additional schools from September 2018, taking the total number of schools it works with up to 50.

The 2019 national finalists in LACA’s School Chef of the Year 2019 competition, sponsored by McDougalls, came face to face for the first time in St Albans on February 5 for a pre-final briefing at Premier Foods' UK head office.
